Lulu Liu London Fashion Week SS15

Born in China Lulu Liu moved to the UK to study fashion at the London College of Fashion in 2008 and hasn't looked back. This is her 5th collection at London Fashion Week.
Her signature pleats and fabric tassles create a sashaying flirty swing as the models move down the catwalk. Her colour mixes are eclectic, her print designs interesting and quirky. 
The effect is a sort of sophisticated Wilma Flintstone cave woman meets couture style chic - and yes Wilma is a style icon!

XIO Li - London Fashion Week SS2014/5

Xio Li 's Spring Summer 2014 collection show cased at Freemason's Hall Covent Garden was impressive. 
Fashion educated at the London College of Fashion and then the prestigious Royal College of Art where she studied womens' knitwear design, Chinese born Xio Li's is a name to take note of for the future. 
I loved the clean, bold, exaggerated lines and 'less is more' purity of the theme presented in chalk tone pastel colour blocks infused with electric pulses of scarlet.

LFW SS2015 Street style by photographer Joana Schneider

This is a strong image with more to it than meets the eye - it reflects the two sides of LFW - 'work', 'reporting' and the other of 'show casing' street style and self promotion. Note this lady in lime's shoes, not easy to walk on the cobbled stones in those, very much in contrast to the black brogues worn by the note taker in black seated behind her. This sums up LFW week for me !

Here we have the fashionista uniform! - the 'it' bag on her arm the iphone in her hand for tweeting ! the eponymous floppy hat as worn in the 70s by Patti Boyd and that all important joie de vivre !
 

This is a small collection of images representing LFW SS2015 as seen through the eyes of talented photographer Joana Schneider. I commissioned Joana to give her interpretation of the street style at Somerset House on the first Friday of London Fashion Week after covering the Jean Pierre Braganza show for fashiontent. I am really impressed with the images Joana has created. She has a great eye for an engaging image. When she interacts with the subjects of her images she connects well and there is a communication through the lens. These images show style but also the reflect anticipatory atmosphere and flamboyance of LFW.

LFW SS 15 Street Style- by Stylist Angela Kusen

I asked talented Peruvian stylist Angela Kusen if she would like to record her own personal style observations of SS15 London Fashion Week's street style trends for fashiontent. She has a fantastic eye for style detail and new ideas.
On the way back from the Burberry show outside Kensington Palace she met Tommy Ton and the Sartorialist. Angela also assist styled on the Oct issue US Vogue shoot in Lima recently with Mario Testino.
