LFW SS2014 Jean Pierre Braganza Collection, Asymmetric Chic

Cool asymmetric dress !

Like this skirt!

This for me was one of his signature pieces

Jean Pierre Braganza's aim for this SS2014 collection was to let instinct and effortlessness take precedence whilst he explored into the contradiction of femininity.

He says the Braganza woman lives between two worlds: that of  feeling and that of knowing, of self restraint and impulse, and the space between youth and experience.

Braganza clearly loves women and knows what looks good on them .
I particularly like his asymmetric dresses and skirts, they did exude a cool and nonchalant verve. Sexy when walking as the tailoring revealed just a little more leg.
His aim is to create a sprezzatura, effortless chic,
Braganza saying that he is fascinated by the controlled nonchalance with which his daughter wears her school uniform. Her socks and skirt have to be just so and her jumper tied around her waist in a way that is completely contrived but gives an air of effortlessness that so many women convey.

He says 'I wanted to explore how this translates for women, the most attractive women always give the impression that they've put very little effort into their outfits....'

Born in London John Pierre Braganza was fashion educated at Central Saint Martins.
His first job was working for Roland Mouret before branching out on his own.
One of his claims to fame was that he was selected by Karl Lagerfeld as his protege for the AW 08/09 season.
