Published twice yearly and launched in May 2010 Jimon magazine is all about editorial fashion photography stories of quality. The creative team is based in LA. Check out this film above to take a look inside Jimon world. Note there is no obvious brand advertising!
Available world wide and clearly successful Jimon magazine can be found in the Tate Modern London and Selfridges.

New magazine 'Love U Baby ' launched by my ex students - inspirational!



I always encourage my students to collaborate with each other after my Art Direction course and was thrilled when Anna Katrine Olesen got in touch to preview their team creative vision in the form of a new magazine 'Love U Baby' to show case their Art Direction ideas....the team are currently working on issue 2 - can't wait to see it!

Stella McCartney A/W 2011 Brand Campaign - Natalia Vodianova

Close friend of Stella McCartney Natalia Vodianova looks superb in this image.





I was wondering what Stella McCartney might come up with for her Autumn / Winter brand campaign premiered in British September issue Vogue now. I am not disappointed. It stands out as different and reflects the DNA of Stella's excellent collection this season. It is a triumph of Art meets Fashion in it's lay out and references to sculpture thus becoming a commercial image that has the feeling of Art. The clothes that Natalia Vodianova wears look great and aspirational, the image could also be a portrait of the model - it has a triple application - This adds to the status of the brand. Bravo!

September Issue British Vogue - Mulberry Autumn brand shoot


Having quickly flicked through my coveted new just through the letter box copy of British Vogue's September issue one of the Autumn Winter brand campaigns that stands out more than many is the Mulberry Campaign shot by Tim Walker. I love the quirky, eclectic styling details and adore the proportion play and homage to the brands unique British DNA. It literally shouts Autumn with the earthy colours and the references to the natural world, even down to the fox asleep on the arm chair behind the model.


It achieves it's aim which is to make me wish to investigate into the cost of purchasing the hand bag the model is holding .....




Here we have model Tati Colier in an adjoining page holding a larger Mulberry Hand bag. A wonderful example of clever styling and genius Art directorial vision. Mulberry is vying for attention in competition with all the big budget brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Chanel in Vogue where of course they look slick and impressive - Mulberry's recent sales figure have beaten all predictions by miles and I can see why - the product is of good quality, it has a cache reputation, and it is cool - No wonder the Chinese are loving the brand....
