Jean Pierre Braganza was born in London and raised in Canada. He was fashion educated at Central Saint Martins. His woman is mysterious and intelligent and not afraid to embrace the dark side of life. His signature is fluid shapes and geometric lines.
There was something for everyone in this collection whether you favour grown up sheers over block black tailored dresses, or like to shine in bold geometric print dresses the choice is yours. This Spring Summer 15 collection had an attractive deconstructed dimension giving the collection a classic architectural textile twist. The distorted black and white monotone prints cut to create an asymetric silhouette got my vote of approval. Asymmetry is an expression of confidence and free thinking. I love the fact that asymmetry use produces two 'styles' in one garment when viewed from different angles.
Jean Peirre Braganza is to cloth what Mark Fast (a fellow Canadian in London) is to knits. Both designers favouring quirky sexy shapes that flatter a woman's body and get her noticed.
Thank you to talented photographer Joana Schneider who covered this show for me in the BFC tent at Somerset house. Joana's LFW SS15 style shots will be show cased on fashiontent later.
