LFW Day 1, Caroline Charles - Classic Style

Who ever said that the bowler was for men! - women' s fashion continues to cross over with men. Gender irrelevant fashion is a trend set to continue - spear headed by Paul Smith years ago

I call this the 'Girl in a Bowler', taken last season at S/S 2011 shows, such a cool look.

Classic Caroline Charles, quality and style and looking fabulous are her goals

Animal print hat sets off the classic tailoring beautifully, the pleat in the right place on the skirt to show just the right amount of leg...

Black a must this Autumn / Winter - seen combined with a strong bright colour palette in most shows so far.

flattering for most shapes, a wardrobe essential

LOVE this coat - looks fab with the bowler!

classic 50s inspired party dress

check out that skirt detail, flirty and sexy when one moves!

Caroline Charles is very popular in the Far East, perfect jacket for this market.
There is that lovely skirt again!

Sparkle also a regular ingredient in her brilliant collections

Embellishment for the executive wife is popular in China, the biggest economy in the world now -

Caroline Charles has been in the business now for 47 years - to succeed this long is a huge achievement - I have so much respect for her.

Caroline Charles may not be a Vivienne Westwood or an Alexander McQueen however she has been in the business for 47 years and out lasted Biba and Mary Quant (fellow contemporary labels) by sticking to her classic and timeless style and performing well in an ever changing and fickle market with flying colours. She is a clever British fashion talent. I am amazed she has not been honoured for services to fashion yet frankly!
