Based in Florida Kristina Vilyam was a student on my online 'Art Direction for Fashion' 6 week course and has developed an outstanding response to the SS25 fashion content brief.
She is currently employed as a product designer, specializing in digital product design, graphic design and user experience design.
We can see from her excellent presentation lay out she has good graphic design skills and understands how to sell ideas visually. For this reason her project stands out and warrants featuring as an impressive standard for the Fashion content creation industry.
Kristina says she joined my Art Direction for Fashion course to deepen her knowledge in art direction and visual communication, aiming to bring fresh ideas into her work. She was also eager to expand her skills in visual storytelling and immerse myself in the fashion industry's unique perspectives.
Kristina is inspired by a mix of contemporary artists like David Hockney, Anna Uddenberg, Marina Abramovic, and Andy Warhol, whose work challenges and redefines visual narratives. In fashion, I admire designers like Marine Serre, Andrej Gronau, Chopova Lowena, and Sinead O'Dwyer for their innovative approaches. I'm also drawn to the styling of Lotta Volkova, the photography of Mani Haworth, and the boundary-pushing content from platforms like SSENSE and DAZED magazine.
