Editorial Fashion shoot idea -

Lydia Merrills-Ashcroft a student on my Art direction course is happy to show you her ideas for an Editorial fashion shoot she has come up with for her final project.
Her inspiration is taken from the Abbey Road recording studios in North London where many famous stars as well as the Beatles have recorded sound tracks. She has taken designer clothes from the Spring/Summer 2010 collections. Setting her presentation to music from the studios golden era to create atmosphere it is a pleasure to watch and a convincing idea.

My Favorites from A/W 2010-11 collections

Versace....love the colour, blue wool coat with glossy black leather, very cool

Versace Uber wearable again ....this jacket would look equally great with jeans or a print patterned wool dress or skirt..
Collection reminiscent of the Tom Ford premier collection at Gucci, lux fabrics with leather, beautiful cuts, highly wearable, and v sexy.

Alberta Ferretti..... luxurious glamour, and beautiful detail makes this evening dress very covetable.... an investment classic

Valentino.... the little jacket with fluid detail is fabulous and will be a key shape/look I think......

Ralph Lauren wins hands down for me for great and practical styling ideas for winter, I love the way he pairs Harris tweed, tulle layers, lush velvet, and wool patterned fabrics with cosy knits ... so wearable and easy to do.

Miu Miu versus Prada - A/W 2010/11

Miu Miu...yes

Prada...yes...

Grey Gardens...Prada...no...no...no...

Fashion influences come in many forms. The Grey Gardens Story is fascinating........

Grey Gardens is a 1975 documentary film by Albert and David Maysles, with Susan Froemke, Ellen Hovde, and Muffie Meyer. The film depicts the everyday lives of the two Edith Beales, a reclusive socialite mother and daughter of the same name who lived at Grey Gardens, a decrepit mansion at 3 West End Road in the wealthy Georgica Pond neighborhood of East Hampton, New York. A hollywood movie of their lives will be released soon. The Beales were closely related to Jackie Kennedy/Onassis!
